This is one of the pages that seems destined to find itself lost somewhere on the "Inter-Web"! I have lost countless hours rebuilding this page numerous times, so for now, I will present a very brief synopsis of the 2009 Farewell Bobby Fischer Results. Open Section:  Damir Trtanj takes home the very nice trophy for a clear-cut first place, scoring 5.5/6. Giving up the one and only draw meant that Damir just barely missed out on the bonus money for going a perfect 6-0, but it was still a well deserved tournament victory for the "Croatian Crusher" !   Tory Anderson continued his fiscally lucrative ways, by taking clear-cut 2nd place with a score of 5/6, and taking home vast amounts of cash for the second year in a row.  Steve Hoisington, Hans Morrow, and Enrique Arce-Larreta all tied for 3rd with the nice score of 4.5/6. U-1200 Section:  What a finish!  4 players tied for 1st with scores of 5/6.  In tie-break order, Daniel Torba, Isaac Nielson, Emigdio Niquet, and Alex Gustafsson, all tied for the victory with 5/6.  Daniel Torba took home the trophy based on his best "head to head" results among the tied players.  One note of interest,,,Isaac Nielson stopped Mr. Niquet from scoring a perfect 6-0 in the last round.
